Preparing For Christmas In A Recession - Part 1

As an Christian Internet Marketer who takes no pleasure in Halloween, my marketing preparation for the Christmas Season usually gets into high gear in October. This year, however, my thoughts are with those people who have been without jobs  during the year due to the last recession.

The Office of National Statistics revealed a few weeks ago that over 3.9 million households in Britain have no adult in work – that is after a huge increase over the past year. This means about 1.9 children now live in workless homes.

This is a shocking reflection of the scale of unemployment across the UK.
Viewing a situation like this can be very depressing especially when the jobs are just not there or employers are playing the ‘waiting game’; checking to see which way the economy will turn before committing themselves to employing more staff.

What should a person in-between jobs be doing at a time like this? Recognise Change!.
A change has taken place in how money is coming to you. If you can  acknowledge that, what you should be doing next will follow without too much debate.

I have just finished reading a book entitled “Who Moved My Cheese?” which i think will be beneficial for anybody going through this change of how to ‘bring home the bacon‘.

Who Moved My Cheese? Amazing Way to Deal with Change in Your Work and in Your Life, is a motivational  book by Spencer Johnson written in the style of a parable or business fable. It describes change in one’s work and life, and four typical reactions to said change. You can complete it in one sitting but you will always go back for a second helping.

Watch out the second part of this post very soon.
